Milestones and reflections

***

Wow, it's already 3 months on Neocities, that means 3 months of official web keeping... or whatever the term is! Some may already know that I am neurodivergent, so these past 3 months have mostly been me fixated on pimping my website.

I contemplated changing the website host and domain name. It is still something I am considering, but I am unsure of the long-term costs. I mean, yeah, there are affordable options, but it would peeve me to pay for a service I no longer use. Knowing my pattern of fixations, I will eventually stop updating as much or stop altogether. One thing is certain: I will eventually support Neocities for its amazing free service (creators need to eat, too).

As always, this website is in perpetual development. My personal rule is: do not announce what will happen. Only celebrate achievements, not possibilities.

To celebrate achievements, here's to:

I'm happy with what I've achieved and the people I've met on forums, Neocities and the web in general! If you want to email me, I am always happy to receive emails. Or my Re: Forum is all set up!

Thank you for reading. Keep being awesome x

What my site would have looked like initially

Reflection: honestly, it look really good. I can definitely make it work again and improve this index. However, I didn't like the braille art... I felt like it looked weird and misaligned. Didn't want it on my index anymore. Plus my coding knowledge then was lacking so I couldn't figure out how to do a responsive index with iFrames.

Bye iFrames

Reflection: I felt restricted by iFrames so I removed it. This is also when I realised I should give my ASCII navigation its spotlight (without the tabs). Kind of random but I save my previous indexes but it's kind of broken so I checked WayBack machine and was suprised they archieved my site! What the flip?
